This is it!

The last weekend before Election Day.

Time for GOTV… GOTV… GOTV.

For months we have worked to identify union members and their families that will vote for the labor-endorsed candidates.  NOW is when we MAKE SURE that these voters go to the polls next Tuesday!

That is why we need all available hands to canvass and call right up until Election Day.  We need to get every last union voter and his or her famiLy to the polls in order for us to hold onto the Kentucky House of Representatives.

So, do all that you can do to get volunteers and members out to give us hand.

Released staff have been working extremely hard and now we need everybody to pitch in.  The list below of locations and activities is not exhaustive as many released staffers and volunteers are working in widely scattered districts on various house races.  We have active programs occurring in about 25 House Districts – the most we have ever had to work in a single election cycle.

Hat's off for the great response and effort from all those involved!  Please check out the list of activities and locations below and see where your members, volunteers and released staff can help out.  Also, I have copied two links below that I thought would be useful:

-- The first is about AG Beshear’s efforts to prevent voter fraud and other illegal activities on Election Day.  With all of the talk of voter suppression please take the time to check out the article and the contact information for the AG’s hotline if there are any questionable activities at polling places.

-- The second article is about Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes’ prediction about turnout and the high level of absentee voting.

Let’s get it done for the workers of Kentucky!

If you have questions or need additional information about any of the activities contact the designated contact person.  Or if you have questions or need information about any specific races and additional canvass locations not listed below contact Liles Taylor (859-533-1897) or via e-mail at ltaylor@kyaflcio.org or me at 502-682-1497 or blondrigan@kyaflcio.org

I want to thank all those that have worked so hard and diligently on this great effort.
