We are fast entering an era in which there's going to be a chronic shortage of jobs for millions looking for employment. That trend is only going to accelerate. Everyone's job is on the line now. If we don't begin to address this problem then we will suffer the consequences of long term, mass unemployment and political alienation of millions because jobs are fast disappearing primarily due to automation.

Unfortunately, in the final days of the 2017 Legislative Session, the Kentucky General Assembly passed some very far-reaching legislation that I believe is wrong for our state and wrong for our children.
Union blasts proposed funding cuts for environmental, job creation, transit security programs
WASHINGTON – American Federation of Government Employees National President J. David Cox Sr. issued the following statement on the budget blueprint released by the White House:
“This budget shirks our nation’s responsibility to care for its citizens and ensure the public’s health and safety, help our struggling neighbors secure better jobs and safe housing, and promote democracy around the world.
Nashville-based Shelby Bottom Duo (Michael August and Nell Levin) will perform their entertaining, multimedia educational show, A Musical History of Joe Hill and the Early Labor Movement in Louisville April 7.
