After several recesses and a two-hour caucus meeting, the Senate sends the Pension Bill back to committee.

From the New Kentucky Project

New Met with the chants of over a hundred teachers, the Senate did not vote on SB 1 this morning.  President Robert Stivers said that, "individual members need more time to consider the pension bill."

This means that your calls and emails are working!  Legislators are getting the message that our public pensions are not for sale.

This is far from over, however.  When asked by reporters if the Pension Bill is dead, Stivers responded with one word..."NO."

Keep it up! Keep contacting your legislators and demand that they keep the promise of a fully-funded pension.
