From the Louisville Courier-Journal: Kentucky lawmakers should give up their pay during government shutdown

Each day, members of the U.S. Coast Guard go to work, hauling up barges full of coal from the bottom of the Ohio River, and TSA screeners report to Louisville International Airport — and none of them have any reason to believe they’ll be paid on Friday.

But the Republicans who represent Kentucky in Congress will be.

Indications are that Sens. Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul, and Reps. Jamie Comer, Brett Guthrie, Thomas Massie, Hal Rogers and Andy Barr will all be cashing their paychecks.
