The Misadventures of Moscow Mitch: Trump’s not the only incompetent Republican

President Trump is not the only Republican who has no idea how to respond to the coronavirus pandemic. Equally incompetent and confused is the Republican Senate, which has had months to consider the Heroes Act but still is paralyzed.
The Post reports, “A major intraparty rift widened between the White House and Senate Republicans on Tuesday as they stumbled to formulate a unified coronavirus budget plan, lacking agreement on policy goals, budget parameters, or even deadlines.” For once, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) reportedly asked the right question: “What in the hell are we doing?” Americans are wondering the same thing, though perhaps for different reasons. Cruz, after voting for the $2 trillion tax cut, now worries about too much spending. Go figure. He also recently warned about a Democratic takeover of Texas, but his colleagues’ inaction only makes that more probable.Read more here.
