More than 100 convention delegate credentials received

President, Kentucky State AFL-CIO

The 32nd Biennial Convention is a month away and I wanted to let you that we have received over 100 delegate credentials to date and would like to ask your assistance in reaching out to your affiliated unions across Kentucky and request they return their credentials as soon as feasible.

Even though there is no election of officers scheduled for this convention it is nonetheless extremely important for our affiliates from across Kentucky to come together so that we can evaluate, re-group, re-energize and re-focus our efforts to build an even stronger union movement for Kentucky’s hard working men and women.  We will have numerous exciting and informative speakers as well as reports and plans for strengthening our organization and movement.  So please encourage every local affiliate and council to send in their credentials to that we will have a strong and united turn out at the convention.

We have been given permission by the Embassy Suites to hang union banners in the convention hall and would encourage you to help us have a great showing of banners during the convention.  If you would like to have your union banner hung during the convention you can either make arrangements to bring your banner to the State Fed office in Frankfort or bring it to the Embassy Suites on Sunday (November 5th) early that afternoon so that our Stagehands can hang the banners during set up.

During each convention we pay our respects to our union brothers and sisters, whether active or retired, who have passed away since our previous convention.  If you have names of members, retirees, associates that have passed since October 2015 and would like to have them included in our recognition ceremony please send those names to me via e-mail ([email protected]).

Thank you for your continued support.  In Solidarity,  Bill
