“Congratulations to Attorney General Andy Beshear and his running mate Jaqueline Coleman on their success in the Democratic Gubernatorial Primary.

Frankfort, KY — On Tuesday, Governor Matt Bevin barely survived his primary election amid backlash from voters in his own Party. The controversial first-term Governor heads into November weakened and vulnerable to defeat.

Kentuckians are set to cast their ballots for statewide offices on Tuesday in an election that will set the table for the fall.

Yelling, “Hey Hey, Ho Ho, Matt Bevin has got to go,“ about 30 members of Kentucky 120 United rallied Monday outside Fayette County Public Schools’ Central Office in advance of Tuesday’s primary election.

Jeni Bolander, a leader in the educator’s group, said the rallies were held across Kentucky Monday to get out the vote Tuesday.

A pair of Democratic officials sent early emails to the faithful today, urging them to vote in the primary.

Turnout is expected to be around 12.5 percent.

Here's the final tally of union and teacher organization endorsements for tomorrow's gubernatorial primary election.

All of the endorsements went to the three main Democrats vying for their party's nomination: House Minority Rocky Adkins, Attorney Gen. Andy Beshear and former auditor Adam Edelen.

Candidates appreciate endorsements. But they appreciate votes most of all.
