KDP Labor Council meeting this Saturday
From KENNY FOGLE, Deputy political director, Kentucky Democratic Party and member of IBEW Local 369 At our initial meeting in January of the Kentucky Democratic Party Labor Council (in formation) we discussed the logistics of forming the Council under the By-Laws of the KDP. The first requirement was that we have at least 30 members from at least 3 Congressional Districts in Kentucky. The second action was to adopt a Mission Statement. No action was taken on selecting a Chair and Vice Chair of the group. This was proposed to be done at an in person meeting at the IBEW 369 facility in Louisville at 4315 Preston Highway on Saturday, April 15 at 3:30pm Eastern time. The action needed for this group is to promote this meeting to as many Union members in Kentucky as possible in as many Locals as possible to attend. At that point, we can discuss and adopt the Mission Statement to submit to the State Central Executive Committee of the KDP, elect a Chair and Vice Chair and set up future meetings and agendas. Please feel free to contact me for any assistance in establishing this Council or to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Many thanks to you all, Kenny
