From The Kentucky Democratic Party: Bevin's terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week continues
Frankfort, KY — Five weeks until the May primary and Gov. Matt Bevin’s terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week continued over the weekend. What started as an all-out war between Bevin and Senate President Robert Stivers, Senate Majority Leader Damon Thayer and others turned into an embarrassing weekend for Matthew Griswold Bevin.
ICYMI:
Governor Bevin was booed every second of his speech at Hillbilly Days in Pikeville.
Before his speech, Bevin took the office of governor down to an even new low, verbally sparring with a Republican State Representative in a verbal altercation that had to be broken up.
A person listed as a host of a fundraiser for Bevin ended up not contributing money or an in-kind contribution in what could be a first in Kentucky history.
Bevin was repeatedly confronted during a “community forum” in Martin County on his attacks on teachers, why he vetoed a pension relief bill and his support for charter schools. Most importantly, he was challenged for his slow response to water issues in Martin County.
