Frankfort, KY—After calling a special session that is costing Kentucky taxpayers $66,000 a day, Matt Bevin has been caught at a lavish political donor junket in Aspen, Colorado.

Insider Louisville’s Joe Sonka shared a photo saying that “as #kyga19 enters the fourth day of its emergency special session” Matt Bevin was spotted “in Aspen today.”

Politico called the event that Bevin was caught at “a two-day retreat the RGA is hosting in Aspen, Colo., which is expected to draw an array of GOP governors and donors.”

This is the second time Bevin has been caught in Colorado in the last month.

On day one of the special session on Friday, while Matt Bevin was nowhere to be found, the governor’s attorney was fighting to get his personal tax rate reduced on a multi-million dollar mansion he bought at a steep discount from a political donor.

“We’ve been asking throughout this chaotic special session that’s costing taxpayers $66,000 a day: Where is Matt Bevin?” said Marisa McNee, spokesperson for the Kentucky Democratic Party. “The answer is with the people he cares about most: wealthy out-of-state donors and special interests.”
