LOUISVILLE, KY — Morgan McGarvey has raised more than $570,000 in the first quarter of 2022 for his campaign for Congress, and has over $950,000 cash-on-hand. Approximately 80% of donations are from Kentucky.

“We’re continuing to see a huge outpouring of support to send Morgan to Congress. That’s because he is known as a progressive leader who shows up in every community and brings people together to get things done,” said McGarvey campaign manager Colin Lauderdale. “He’s stood firm against the extremism and callousness coming out of Frankfort, while at the same time getting legislation passed that immediately helps people – like protections for survivors of domestic violence and $6 million in funding for Simmons College. In addition to his strong fundraising, Morgan is endorsed by community leaders, elected officials, and labor unions from across Louisville as the effective leader we need in Washington.”

“I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated to our campaign,” said Morgan. “It’s so important that we keep this district blue. I’m out knocking on doors every week and I continue to hear the challenges people are facing with health care, access to affordable child care, concerns about climate change and gun violence and the immediate need for criminal justice reform. I’m running to get to work and I genuinely appreciate everyone who has donated to help us win this race.”

Morgan McGarvey is the current Kentucky Senate Minority Leader and an attorney who represents small businesses and people facing discrimination.
