Retired state AFL-CIO secretary-treasurer Larry Jaggers watched Wednesday's executive board gathering from the back of the meeting room at the Office Pub and Deli in Frankfort.

Just before President Bill Londrigan dismissed the delegates and invited everybody to a buffet lunch, he called Jaggers to the front and surprised him with a plaque honoring his "many years of dedicated service to the Kentucky State AFL-CIO and the working men & women of Kentucky."

A Steelworker, Jaggers retired in December.
