Trump's 'word is not worth a bucket of warm spit'
By ROY PULLUM
So, President Trump and Premier Un fell in love (according to President Trump).
He took Premier Un's word that he knew nothing about Otto Warmbier's torture that led to his death. As you remember, Warmer got ten years of hard labor for stealing a propaganda sign when he was a tourist in North Korea.
Otto's parents had supported Trump, and were heart broken by his remarks in Hanoi that let Un off the hook for the foul treatment of Warmbier.
I sat and shook my head when he made that statement. He must have known that nothing happens in North Korea without Un's knowledge. Trump knows that North Koreans are eating grass because they are so hungry.
He knows thousands are in gulags just for being related to a somebody Un says is a criminal. Un believes that if a whole family is punished, it puts extra pressure on an individual to conform. Even people who escape the hellhole that is North Korea hear that their whole family was arrested after their flight from tyranny.
Trump knows that Un killed his uncle and his brother to affirm Un's political relationship. It is reported that Un's uncle was killed in a vicious dog attack orchestrated by Un. His brother was assassinated by the injection of poison.
Trump knows that North Korea has kidnapped Japanese women over the years. He knows that North Korea has lied to at least two American presidents about giving up nuclear weapons. He took the economic aid and reneged continuing to build his nuclear arsenal. Still, Trump has a bromance with Un, and he takes Un's word over grieving parents in Ohio.... over refugees who escaped North Korea. As my dad use to say, "His word is not worth a bucket of warm spit."
What is it about Trump and our national enemies? He won't take the word of the NSA, FBI or CIA, but he will take Putin's word, the Saudi Arabian totalitarian Prince Ben Salam and Un's word when they murder, interfere in our political affairs and imprison political opponents.
