Andy Beshear is responding to a new investigative report from WEKU that reveals: "Matt Bevin’s administration hired a physician to lead the state’s infectious disease office just months after the Department of Veterans Affairs dismissed that doctor for ‘egregious’ medical misconduct."

Under Bevin, Kentucky is facing the deadliest hepatitis A outbreak in the country. Andy Beshear said: "Matt Bevin put a disgraced doctor in charge of overseeing KY's hepatitis A outbreak, which is now the deadliest in the country. This doctor was fired from the VA for harming veterans and Bevin still saw fit to hire him. Our families deserve answers."
