Union members joined MLK motorcade in Louisville
Men and women from several unions braved blowing snow and subfreezing temperatures to join Louisville's 48th Annual Pride Inc. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Motorcade and RallyMonday.
"Union members showed up on a cold, blustery day to honor and salute the work and life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who stood steadfastly with unions and recognized the connection between social and economic justice and civil rights," said Bill Londrigan, Kentucky State AFL-CIO president. "Dr. King was for all people that worked for a living."
The procession started at 28th and Broadway and ended with the rally at Hughlett Temple A.M.E. Church, 2115 W. Jefferson St.
