Attorney Gen. Andy Beshear, the Kentucky State AFL-CIO endorsed Democratic candidate for governor, is taking to social media to directly respond to Gov. Matt Bevin.

This comes after the Republican Bevin criticized Beshear and doubled down on joining a lawsuit that would threaten care for people with pre-existing conditions by allowing insurance companies to deny coverage for essential health benefits like prescription drugs, maternity care, and mental health services, among others.

Andy Beshear responded to Matt Bevin on social media, stating: "Matt Bevin's plan means insurance companies can deny coverage for prescription drugs, maternity care & mental health services. That directly threatens Kentuckians with pre-existing conditions. That's wrong and I'm going to fight every day to protect health care for our families." Beshear's running mate is educator Jacqueline Coleman.
