LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Today, Gov. Andy Beshear’s campaign announced it will accept invitations to five televised debates across Kentucky. The governor will participate in debates in Paducah, Lexington, Northern Kentucky and Louisville. “Andy Beshear has a strong record of leadership and a vision to continue to move our Commonwealth forward, and is ready to share it with Kentuckians in five televised debates,” said Beshear campaign manager Eric Hyers. “While Daniel Cameron has run an empty campaign based on division and falsehoods, Andy Beshear is focused on actually getting things done for Kentuckians, including record-breaking economic development, the lowest unemployment rate in state history, critical new infrastructure projects, and bipartisan accomplishments from medical marijuana to sports betting. These five debates will be a chance for voters all across Kentucky to compare Andy Beshear’s vision for our Commonwealth against Daniel Cameron’s hateful rhetoric that tries to divide Kentuckians rather than bring them together.” The Beshear campaign has confirmed participation in the following debates: - Gubernatorial Lunch Forum, hosted by the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce and WPSD, Thursday, October 12, 12:00pm CT
- Northern Kentucky Gubernatorial Debate, hosted by the League of Women Voters, October 16, 8:00pm ET (pending schedule confirmation)
- Kentucky Tonight Gubernatorial Debate, hosted by KET, Monday, October 23, 8:00pm ET
- The Kentucky Debate, hosted by WKYT, Tuesday, October 24, 7:00pm ET
Beshear will also participate in a televised debate in Louisville; the campaign is considering multiple requests. |
