Beshear to toss his hat in the ring for 2nd term this afternoon

Gov. Andy Beshear, joined by his family and Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman, will file papers to run for a second term today at 3 p.m. ET in the Secretary of State's office.

"During his time in office, Gov. Beshear has removed barriers to health care coverage and relaunched kynect to expand quality care to more Kentuckians, restored voting rights for more than 180,000 Kentuckians, appointed a state school board that supports public education, and invested in schools, high speed internet and clean drinking water," says media advisory from the Andy Beshear for Governor campaign. "The Governor has also led Kentucky to historic economic growth and provided strong, steady leadership during three of the most difficult years in Kentucky history with the pandemic and deadly natural disasters."
