Buddy Wheatley agrees to debate Michael Adams in SOS race
EDITOR'S NOTE: The Kentucky State AFL-CIO unanimously endorsed Wheatley for secretary of state
Covington, KY - Buddy Wheatley has accepted an invitation from the League of Women Voters of Louisville in partnership with WLKY to debate. The League of Women Voters and WLKY provided three potential dates, October 5th, 12th and 19th. Buddy has agreed to participate in the debate, and he's excited to share his ideas for modernizing the Secretary of State office and making it easier for Kentuckians to participate in our democracy.
"Kentuckians deserve a full-time Secretary of State and a true public servant advocating for their right to vote in Frankfort, and this firefighter is ready to answer the call. The people of Kentucky should get real debates so they can compare our visions for the office and how to best serve the people of Kentucky."
- Buddy Wheatley
Buddy is running against Michael Adams, the incumbent Secretary of State, who has previously stated that increasing voter turnout is not the job of the Secretary of State. Adams has continued to work as an attorney for an out-of-state election law practice, which represents national Republican figures and election deniers.
