Frankfort, Ky. - Yesterday, a new report from The Daily Beast showed major inconsistencies in Daniel Cameron’s account of his campaign cash shakedown scandal, casting doubt on his version of events. A witness confirms that Cameron personally solicited the donations–not a proxy.
“Daniel Cameron’s timeline does not make sense. He is claiming that he first learned of donations in May that he in fact personally solicited four months prior,” said Kentucky Democratic Party spokesperson Anna Breedlove. “And now his office is refusing to refer this very serious matter to the FBI. In order for Kentuckians to have confidence in the Office of the Attorney General, this abuse of power must be investigated.”
