I am sure you are aware of the multiple natural disasters that have hit Tennessee and Louisiana as well as the on-going contentious UMWA Strike in Alabama.  Your State Federation has made financial contributions to each of these funds on behalf of the Executive Board and Affiliates.  I wanted to share the information needed to make contributions for relief efforts being spearheaded by our fellow State Federations in Tennessee and Louisiana as well as the UMWA Strike if your local, council or international union would like to make a donation.  While there is need for specific items in each of these states, my fellow State Fed Presidents have suggested that financial contributions are the most expedient and effective means for getting the items and services that are most needed.  So, if you would like to help out with any of these relief efforts you can make checks out as specified below and/or follow the directions on the pictured flyer if you would like to contribute to the UMWA Warrior Met Strike Fund.

In Solidarity, Bill.
