At High Noon on Wednesday, there will be a picket and delivery of a letter to the Management of the Circle K gasoline and convenience store at 1630 Arthur Street in Louisville. This will be the fifth action at this location.  We call on your solidarity!  We are asking Circle K (owned by Couche-Tard in Quebec) to take VUSE off their shelves.  The Farm Labor Organizing Committee (FLOC) is boycotting Reynolds American Tobacco company's e-cigarette VUSE until that corporation guarantees the right of farmworkers who pick their tobacco the right to organize without retaliation (freedom of association).      FLOC has been pushing Reynolds for many years, without resolution.  Most of the tobacco crop in the U.S. is worked by H2A farmworkers, who remain vulnerable to retaliation if they organize to improve their working conditions or respond to labor violations.  Only through a  binding agreement from the Big Tobacco buyers can there be a way to protect workers' rights. Come help carry the big banner or bring your own signs that call for "Farmworker Justice," "Farmworker Labor Rights," "Boycott VUSE,"  and "Walk Your Talk, Reynolds Tobacco."           The action will end at 1 p.m. with manager letter delivery.     For more information, call the Kentucky field organizer for FLOC, Stephen Bartlett, at 502 415-1080.
