EDITOR’S NOTE: We appreciate Roy Pullam’s insightful commentary. We know our readers do, too. But the subject of this one is “truly scary” as he says at the end.

By ROY PULLAM

I got a glimpse at  Trump's America yesterday.

My sister-in-law broke her hip and had surgery.  Her son by her first marriage was sitting with her when we got to the hospital.  We talked with her until they came and took her to surgery.  We went to the surgery waiting room, and he went with us.  Fox News was on the television and that’s when it started getting scary.

He said that in 1995, the federal building in Oklahoma City was bombed by the CIA to cover crimes of the Clintons.  He said the “Deep State“ blew up the twin towers in 2001 in order to get the Patriot Act passed.  He said that no two planes would bring those building down.  There were explosives put in the building.

He said there is no global warming.  Instead, there is a device in Alaska that the CIA was using that controlled our weather.  He said the government was doing weather control to keep prices up.  He said they were the same people who killed JFK.

By the time he got through with his revisionist history, my mouth was wide open.  He offered to give me the Internet site to go to for "true news."  I thanked him, but declined his offer.  My wife Velma and I could not believe it, but I guess there are thousands if not millions who drank the Kool-Aid. They have driver‘s licenses, father children and go to church every Sunday.  That is truly scary.
