Re-elect Trump yard signs are sprouting like late summer mushrooms in western Kentucky.

Most are pretty prosaic. But “God & Country Trump 2020” was a new one on me.

The sign conjured up visions of the President in a Boy Scout uniform or maybe his mug photoshopped over Arnold Friberg’s famous painting of George Washington praying in the snow at Valley Forge.

"God & Country?"

It’s hardly a secret that the President prefers golf to worship on the Sabbath. He cusses. He tortures the truth.

He has stiffed creditors. He paid hush money to paramours--a pormstar and a Playboy model.

He’s twice broken that “‘til death do us part” promise at the altar. He’s cheated on two of his brides, possibly on all three.

Born rich, Trump thinks that the moneyed, not the meek, should inherit the earth.

“First in war—first in peace—and first in the hearts of his countrymen,” “Light Horse Harry” Lee eulogized Washington.

Washington dodged Gallic bullets in the French and Indian War and British bullets in the American Revolution.

Trump actively avoided the draft and the Vietnam War in his youth via four legit college deferments and a deferment for bad feet, the latter questionable.

While thousands of other youths—many of whom were poor and working class whites and minorities (most of them draftees)--were fighting and dying in Vietnam, Trump was enjoying the bachelor playboy life in the Big Apple.

Trump said that avoiding STD’s was his “personal Vietnam," adding, "I feel like a great and very brave soldier.”

From his inauguration through last July 9, Trump has lied or fudged the truth 20,055 times, according to The Washington Post

The sign I saw makes it 20,056.  “Golf & Country Club: Trump 2020” would be accurate.
