Click here to sign up for the inaugural Zoom meeting of the Kentucky Democratic Party Labor Council. The meeting is set for Jan. 9 from 7-8 p.m. EST (6 to 7 CST).

The KDP and Kentucky unions are traveling the same rocky road, according to Kenny Fogle, KDP deputy political director and a member of Louisville-based IBEW Local 369.

“We’ve got a long way to go,” he added. “But the only way we’re going to get there is to do it together.”

The council became full-fledged this fall after 30 union members—active and retired—from at least three of the state’s six congressional districts signed up. You can still join the council by clicking here.

The council will meet—in person or remotely—and elect officers, including a chair who will represent the council as a voting member of the KDP’s State Central Executive Committee.

More information is available from Fogle by email at kennyfogle@kydemocrats.org or by phone at 502-695-4828 (office) or 502-827-1525 (cell).
