Frankfort, Ky. - Matt Bevin’s campaign is in shambles, withPolitico reporting on an “ominous” staff shake up after the governor spent all last week facing questions from taxpayers about his use of the state-owned aircraft for personal and political uses.

Politico notes the move is a “...a potentially ominous sign for the Republican incumbent.” And is due in part to a humiliating “rally” in Pikeville roughly a month ago, which was widely-mocked for the very small crowd.

Politico reported:

"The rally was held on a Thursday afternoon in a large Eastern Kentucky event space, leading to embarrassing images of a near vacant arena. Paine chose to hold the rally at the venue over the objections of Trump Jr. advisers who recommended holding it in a smaller ballroom instead, according to people familiar with the matter.”

“I guess it's not surprising thatthe least popular governor in America, who insults teachers, feuds with his Lt. Governor, and is caught in a major state plane scandal also has a campaign that's in shambles,” said Marisa McNee, spokesperson for the Kentucky Democratic Party.
