Ky. League of Women Voters: “New” Voting Laws for November 2022 General Election

The Kentucky General Assembly passed new voting laws in 2022 that were in effect for the primary election and will also apply to the general election in November. These include multiple ways to vote. The Voter registration deadline is October 11, 2022 at 4 PM local time. You can register to vote at GoVoteKY.com.

THERE ARE NOW 4 WAYS TO VOTE:

  1. In Person on Election Day, Tues. November 8, 2022, 6 AM-6PM.

  2. Three days “Early Voting” (No excuse needed, In-person voting ) Thursday, Fri, Sat., November 3rd-6th, Hours depend on your county.

  3. Six Business Days of Excused In-Person voting (Need qualifying excuse) October 26-28 and Oct 31, & November 1-2

ELIGIBLE EXCUSES FOR THE 6 DAYS IN-PERSON VOTING

4. Mail- In ballot with excuse You can request starting Sept. 24, 2022. The last day to request is October 25 by 11:59 PM local time. The County Clerk must have received the mail-in ballot by 6 PM on Election Day whether ballot was mailed or delivered to Drop Box.
