The Democratic National Convention (DNC) started today in Chicago, and workers from across the labor movement are in attendance to support Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to build on our progress and empower the next generation of working people.

AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler and other union leaders will be onstage in a few hours to emphasize how workers are winning under the Biden–Harris administration—and how we’re gearing up to do what we do best over the next several months: mobilize, fight and win!

Here's who is speaking tonight:

AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler, AFSCME President Lee Saunders, CWA President Claude Cummings Jr., IBEW President Kenneth W. Cooper, LIUNA President Brent Booker, SEIU President April Verrett and UAW President Shawn Fain.

Union members will be knocking on doors, texting and calling to spread the word—from jobsites to grocery stores to coffee shops and more—about the importance of this election. Are you in? Join us at betterinaunion.org.

Then tune in on C-SPAN around 7:30 p.m. ET to catch AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler and other labor leaders on the big stage.

The Biden–Harris administration has had our backs for the last four years: 15 million new jobs, billions in investments to rebuild our nation’s crumbling infrastructure and jump-start clean energy projects, strengthening our ability to organize, bringing manufacturing back home to America and saving our pensions.

And in case you didn’t know, Vice President Kamala Harris has a proven track record herself. From her first day in public office, she’s been a champion for working people, fighting to protect our freedoms and hold the wealthy and greedy corporations accountable. She saved over 1 million union pensions (casting the tiebreaking vote in the Senate!), lowered the cost of prescription drugs, fought for farmworkers and domestic workers, and stood up to big corporations that cheat workers. She’s working every day to lower costs for our families and make sure workers get a fair share of what we earn for big companies. That’s the leadership we need!

We are coming together to win this election for working people in November. Please tune in to see us this evening!
