Louisville Courier-Journal: Courier Journal wins Pulitzer Prize for coverage of Matt Bevin's pardons

The Courier Journal won a Pulitzer Prize for its breaking news coverage of the pardons issued by former Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin during his last weeks in office.

The Courier Journal first reported on Dec. 11 that Bevin, a Republican, had issued more than 600 pardons and commutations after narrowly losing the November election to Democrat Andy Beshear, the current governor.
