From Bill Londrigan:
As you know, Sen. McConnell has been stonewalling on hearing and even negotiating over the provisions of the Heroes Act which was passed by the House over two months ago. We are continuing to urge folks to call him and Sen. Paul on the national AFL-CIO patch through number: 866-832-1560. So please continue calling.
We would also like to take our concerns over his unwillingness to provide the support that working families need right now to his doorstep by having a day of action and have our members, community supporters and unemployed workers to go directly to McConnell’s offices across Kentucky.
Below is a list of his offices in Kentucky and we would like to hit as many of his offices as we can this coming Thursday, July 30th at 2:00 p.m. (1:00 p.m. for those in West Kentucky) and let him and his staff know that Kentuckians want him to do the right thing and extend the federal UI benefit of $600.00 as well as the other key elements contained in the Heroes Act such as infrastructure funding, funding for state and local governments, mortgage relief, OSHA workplace safety and health standards, mortgage and rent relief, support for the USPS and so much more.
Please check out the list of office locations below and help us plan to have an event at each of these locations this Thursday to send a message to McConnell that he needs to act and do the right thing for the workers of Kentucky and our nation. With McConnell playing the key role in this struggle for fairness for workers and their families all eyes are on us to make him do the right thing. So please get on board and help us turn out our members and unemployed workers. We can’t do it without you!
