A recent New York Times story headlined: Science Under Attack: How Trump is Sidelining Researchers and Their Work detailed the Administration’s all-out assault on workers at the EPA. Research has been stymied, EPA staffing has been cut to the lowest level since 1985, and years of scientific advancement to make our environment healthier for all Americans has been swiftly erased. Just before the year ended, a panel of Administration appointees determined that President Trump’s major environmental policies run counter to science.

In light of the attacks by the Administration, EPA employees around the country are joining together to articulate a bold new vision for an EPA Workers’ Bill of Rights that embraces science, bolsters working conditions, and delivers a fair contract that ensures EPA workers are able to carry out the agency's mission to protect public health and tackle climate change.

We employees at EPA have committed our careers to protecting human health and the environment. Our fight for a fair contract is a fight to continue our mission to protect all Americans and preserve the soul of the EPA.

The health and future of our country and planet depend on it.
