Statement from Kentucky Labor Council for Latin American Advancement
As the President of the Kentucky Chapter of the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement (LCLAA), I am troubled by the recent remarks made by the Trump campaign regarding Latinos and Puerto Rico. These comments are not only offensive but also perpetuate harmful stereotypes and misinformation.
I must express a concern regarding the Trump campaign’s stance towards Latino and Puerto Rican communities. The campaign has shown lack of support and respect for our Latino communities.
It is clear that the Trump campaign does not respect the interest or values of Latino and Puerto Rican people. We deserve leaders who uplift our communities not demean them.
I urge our Latino community to vote and support our vice president Harris and Waltz in the upcoming election. Harris and Waltz have demonstrated their dedication to addressing the challenges faced by Latinos. By voting for them we ensure that our voices are heard and our needs are prioritized.
Rick Hernandez, President Kentucky LCLAA
