Support needed for maintaining Staffing for Nursing Homes

Dear Alliance State Presidents, 

We are writing to seek your support for a sign-on letter that will be sent to congressional leaders on Capitol Hill urging them to support nursing home workers and residents by maintaining the Biden Administration's final rule on "Minimum Staffing Standards in Nursing Homes."  The rule not only increases protections for nursing home residents but also places much stronger requirements on nursing home owners with respect to their staff and increases the required levels of staffing. Unfortunately, there are many elected officials in Congress who are intent on overturning this rule and preventing CMS from making lives better for nursing home residents and the industry's hard working and often underpaid employees.  

By signing on to this letter, your state Alliance will stand in solidarity against those in the large nursing home industry who are attempting to revoke this rule in order to maintain the current conditions in our nation's nursing homes. Please note the somewhat tight deadline to sign on to this letter, which is this Friday, June 7 by COB.
