WisDems staff officially unionized!
It was a unionized staff who helped re-elect [Wisconsin] Governor [Tony] Evers last week, and stop GOP supermajorities in the state Assembly. I couldn’t be more proud. As one of the many folks who worked to make this happen, this was worth it!
As we head into the years ahead, we’ll have important labor protections in place. It’s no secret high-stakes environments like a swing-state campaign are hard and hectic to navigate. With so much on the line ahead of the election, campaigns tend to be demanding, high-stress workplaces with many staff feeling overworked and under supported.
But, we banded together and organized our workplace for great union benefits, protections, and accommodations, and the WisDems team is better for it.
We’ve taken big steps to make sure our workplace reflects our shared values, and now we can put our best foot forward to support working Wisconsinites for election cycles to come.
