Washington Post: Opinion: Mitch McConnell’s deliberations on infrastructure show GOP spin is bogus

We’re now learning a good deal more about Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s private deliberations over how to oppose the bipartisan infrastructure proposal being negotiated among Democratic and Republican senators.
In addition to being illuminating in its own right, this glimpse into the Kentucky Republican’s thinking has value in another way: It shows that a prominent line of GOP spin about the situation is utter nonsense.At issue is the ubiquitous claim from Republican senators that they are outraged, absolutely outraged, that in addition to the bipartisan “hard” infrastructure bill, Democrats are also negotiating a “human infrastructure” proposal to pass alone via reconciliation.
