KDP Statement on Gov. Beshear’s Actions on Education-Related Bills

The following is a statement from Colmon Elridge, chair of the Kentucky Democratic Party:

“As the dad of three children in Kentucky public schools, I want to thank Gov. Beshear for his courage in standing up for all of Kentucky’s children, public school educators, and our public schools today. As a product of Kentucky public schools himself, the Governor knows how important protecting and strengthening public education is to our commonwealth and his vetoes of bills that will damage public education are critical to the future of Kentucky. All legislators should heed Gov. Beshear’s message and not override these very important vetoes.”
