Congress should pass laws that protect working people

Replace NAFTA

We know wages and living standards only rise when workers organize, advocate and fight side by side.

That's why we're pushing to ensure that NAFTA 2.0 enforces strong rules protecting the rights of Mexican workers to form independent unions.

It's also why we're teaming up with our allies from the AFL-CIO and Daily Kos to defend workers’ rights to organize here in the United States as they face increasing attacks from the Trump Administration.

In a time when the richest Americans' wealth growth has increased by over 200% while wages remain stagnant for the rest of us, we need our lawmakers to protect workers’ rights.

If passed, the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act will provide millions of working people across the country with protections that will:

  • Penalize employers that interfere with their employees’ organizing efforts
  • Make explicitly clear that employers cannot interfere with employee unionization voting procedures
  • Enhance support for worker strikes and boycotts
  • Close loopholes in federal employment and labor laws

Working families in the United States deserve income security and should be able to organize their co-workers to demand living wages and healthy working conditions.

We need our lawmakers to get this important pro-worker legislation passed in Congress.

In solidarity,
