New ads highlight Gov. Beshear’s work to deliver resources including $1.2 billion in relief for communities affected by historic disasters

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Today, Gov. Andy Beshear’s campaign released new ads focused on the recovery from deadly natural disasters and his administration’s response to help communities rebuild from these tragedies. The Beshear administration has already secured over $1.2 billion in disaster relief, including $828 million for those impacted by Western Kentucky tornadoes and $400 million for those impacted by the Eastern Kentucky flooding. Recently, Gov. Beshear handed over the keys to the 100th rebuilt home in Western Kentucky, and his administration has announced plans for roughly 200 new homes to be built in Eastern Kentucky in high ground communities.

“Andy Beshear made a promise to communities across Kentucky to help them not just recover but rebuild from these deadly natural disasters – and he’s worked hard every day since to deliver on that promise,” said campaign manager Eric Hyers. “Kentuckians know that Andy Beshear has been there day in and day out to show up for their communities. His administration has delivered over $1.2 billion to help Kentuckians recover from devastating flooding and tornadoes, and he has handed over the keys to new homes for families who lost everything in the aftermath of these tragedies. Andy Beshear will always keep his word to do what’s right for everyone in our Commonwealth.”
