Frankfort, Ky. - At last night’s Kentucky Debate, just like in the previousfour debates, Daniel Cameron repeatedly tried to dodge questions about his support for vouchers that funnel taxpayer dollars from Kentucky’s public schools into unaccountable private schools. In spite of a lengthy public record of supporting vouchers–mentioning it more than 14 times on the primarycampaign trail alone–Cameron now doesn’t want voters to know where he stands. Cameron even picked a running mate who has voted in favor of vouchers, and defended a voucher law to the Kentucky Supreme Court.

“At all five of the general election debates, Daniel Cameron tried to hide his support for private school tuition vouchers,” said Kentucky Democratic Party spokesperson Anna Breedlove. “Cameron is desperately trying to deflect from his support for vouchers, despite supporting them for years.”
