Vice President

Ashley Snider

Ashley Snider is a proud third-generation union member of IUE-CWA, following in the footsteps of her grandfather and father, both longtime elected leaders who served over 35 years with Local 83761 at General Electric’s Appliance Park in Louisville, Kentucky. Growing up in a strong union household, Ashley understood early on that organized labor is key to ending poverty and fighting corporate greed.

She officially joined the union ranks in 2008 when she began working at General Electric as an IUE-CWA member. From the start, Ashley immersed herself in the labor movement, becoming active in her local union and serving as a longtime co-chair of the Political Action Committee. Her passion for helping workers fight for dignity on the job—and in the statehouse—quickly grew, taking her from shop floor organizing to statewide political action.

Ashley has led and participated in countless lobby days, mobilization efforts, and political education drives across Kentucky. Her work has extended far beyond Appliance Park, driven by her belief that union power should lift up all working people. She proudly served on the Greater Louisville Central Labor Council, where she helped lead community efforts ranging from building homes for unhoused families to advocating for pro-worker policies with Kentucky’s elected officials.

Ashley brings heart, history, and hustle to everything she does in the labor movement—and she’s just getting started.
