Third civil rights community forum set for Saturday; union members especially invited
The third session of “The U. S. Civil Rights Movement and Its Place in History,” a community forum, is set for Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Carl Braden Memorial Center, 3208 West Broadway in Louisville.
Ira Grupper, a veteran civil rights and labor activist who is teaching the class, has extended a special invitation to union members.
“The two sessions we have had thus far have been very lively, with much audience participation,” he said. “Only one demographic is missing: organized labor.”
Sponsored by the Kentucky Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression, the program is open to the public. More information is available by phoning (502) 778-8130.
