McGrath 'strafes' Barr in new ad
Over the last few days, Andy Barr’s campaign and a Republican super PAC have launched FOUR different attacks against me. I guess we pose quite a threat. Now they’re waiting to see how we’ll respond. I’ve told you before, we’re never going to sink to the politics of personal destruction—but I’m certainly not going to let them hurl lies and innuendos at me without fighting back. Tomorrow morning, we’re going live on TV with a personal message from me, taking these attacks head on. I hope you’ll take a moment to watch it right here—then chip in to help us get this in front of as many voters as humanly possible. It’s a sad state of affairs when my opponent thinks the only way he can run his campaign is by tearing me down. That approach is what’s wrong with politics these days. It’s why many of my friends were aghast when I told them I’d decided to run for Congress. They wanted to know why anyone would want to subject herself to this kind of treatment. The truth is no one likes being on the receiving end of a personal attack. But I tell people I’ve been through a whole lot worse than political name-calling, and if this is what it takes to help restore some dignity to our politics and get things done for the people of Kentucky, then sign me up. Look, I never want to run the kind of campaign my opponent is running. Our campaign is based on truth and substance on the issues that people care about. Today, we’re fighting back the right way, and I could sure use a hand from supporters like you. Thank you, Amy |
