Courier Journal Report Shows Bevin Tried To Get Surveillance Footage to Investigate Teachers
A new bombshell report from the Louisville Courier Journal details how the Bevin administration’s “investigative arm combed through superintendents' emails, Capitol visitors' logs and more than 12,700 sick-day entries” in their effort to threaten and bully educators.
The report also notes that Bevin’s “Investigators also requested Capitol surveillance footage from the Kentucky State Police…”
The release of this report comes two weeks after the Bevin administration rushed to claim that over 1,000 teachers broke the law.
Beshear/Coleman Campaign Manager Eric Hyers told the Courier-Journal: "On a day where Andy Beshear announced a plan that gives teachers a $2,000 raise, Matt Bevin is releasing a sloppy report that does not support his conclusion that teachers broke the law. This governor is clearly more interested in punishing teachers than moving our families ahead.”
