From the KDP: How Matt Bevin Really Feels About Public Education

Frankfort, KY — Despite his claims, Matt Bevin has waged a war on public education for the last four years, often attacking teachers unprovoked. 

“The constant attacks and lack of support for public education by this administration have taken its toll on Kentucky classrooms,” said Marisa McNee, spokesperson for the Kentucky Democratic Party. “This governor can’t rewrite history no matter how hard he tries. Another four years of Matt Bevin would be disastrous for public education in Kentucky, and Kentuckians deserve better.”

Here’s a reminder of Bevin’s history of attacks on teachers:

“The Kentucky Labor Cabinet's investigative arm combed through superintendents' emails, Capitol visitors' logs and more than 12,700 sick-day entries before concluding that hundreds of protesting educators broke the law earlier this year… Investigators also requested Capitol surveillance footage from the Kentucky State Police…” - Sept. 4, Louisville Courier Journal
