From Forward Kentucky: Almost 100 organizations -- including the Kentucky State AFL-CIO -- oppose HB 1

In an editorial aimed at Republicans in the state legislature, almost 100 organizations from across Kentucky have called on the legislature to drop or dramatically amend House Bill 1. The bill has been characterized as “necessary reforms” to public assistance programs, but includes such dramatic punitive measures as a lifetime ban from all assistance programs for breaking a rule in one program.
