Louisville Courier-Journal: Kentucky first lady thanks supporters who rallied against governor being hanged in effigy

A day after a Second Amendment rally at the Kentucky Capitol ended with Gov. Andy Beshear hanged in effigy, a group of people showed up at the governor's mansion to show support. 

Before the governor was hanged in effigy outside the Capitol around 4 p.m. Sunday, a group of people from the rally moved to the mansion to attempt to hand deliver a request for Beshear to resign. No one came to the door, and it’s not clear if Beshear was at home at the time.

But the next day, a group held signs outside the mansion of "encouragement and positivity," according to first lady Britainy Beshear, who posted a message of thanks Monday evening.
