Winners in Tuesday's Democratic primary included three members of our union family: Chad Aull, Sue Foster and Keith Pruitt.
The Kentucky State AFL-CIO-endorsed trio will be on the ballot for the state House of Representatives this fall.
Aull, a United Campus Workers--CWA Local 3365 member from Lexington, is seeking the District 79 seat that opened when longtime Rep. Susan Westrom, D-Lexington, retired. Westrom endorsed Aull over Justin Bramhall in the primary; Aull has no Republican opposition on Nov. 8. Click here for a Lexington Herald-Leader story.
Foster, a Louisvillian and president of Jefferson County Association of Educational Support Personnel-AFSCME Local 4011, will take on Republican Susan Tyler Witten for the 31st District seat.
Keith Pruitt, a Teamsters Local 89 steward from Buffalo, will square off against State Rep. Brandon Reed, the District 24 incumbent.
