With every passing minute, the humanitarian crisis in eastern Europe is getting worse. More than half a million Ukrainians have fled the violence of war and are pouring into neighboring countries. More are on the way, and the lines they face in some areas are miles long in a part of the world where winter can be dangerously cold.
Many escaped Putin's violence with only the few belongings they could carry. There is a dire and immediate need to help Ukrainian refugees get food, shelter, clothing and medical assistance.
