Highlights record as a progressive fighter who knows how to get things done

LOUISVILLE, KY -- Morgan McGarvey’s campaign for Congress goes on air today with its first TV ad, Uphill, which features both his record as a progressive fighter who delivers for Kentuckians in the state Senate, and some of the key priorities he will fight for in Congress – including reforming the criminal justice system, legalizing marijuana, passing paid family leave and tackling the existential threat of climate change.

“Despite being one of just eight Democrats in the Kentucky state Senate, Morgan has been able to build coalitions to deliver progressive wins in Frankfort,” said campaign manager Colin Lauderdale. “Morgan has been rock solid in standing up for our Democratic values in the super minority, while still figuring out how to pass bills into law that make a difference for Kentucky families. That’s the kind of get-it-done leadership we need in Washington.”

Morgan McGarvey is the current Kentucky Senate Minority Leader and an attorney who represents small businesses and people facing discrimination.
