People who give and receive care in the United States are at a breaking point. We need universal paid leave to care for one’s self and loved ones, affordable and available child care, and accessible in-home and community care for seniors and people with disabilities. Sign the petition now!

Care work makes all other work possible.

Looking after and teaching the young, cooking and cleaning, and caring for older adults are critical jobs that should have good benefits and pay.

There are 53 million people in this country who are unpaid caregivers for a loved one. Too often, they are forced to make difficult decisions about their jobs so they can support the people they love.

We’ve joined the Care Can’t Wait coalition, and we’re starting the new year by organizing thousands of people who give and receive care. We have one important demand: Congress must invest in care this year.

A better care system will ensure that care workers, family caregivers, older adults and people with disabilities aren’t left behind.

Sign the petition today to tell Congress: Invest in care.

In Solidarity,

Team AFL-CIO
